Auditions for The Shakespeare Festival

The Shakespeare Festival of St. Louis seeks 6 full-time salaried positions for its 20-week Touring Ensemble. Looking to cast Equity and non-Equity actors who sing and move well, and one Equity Stage Manager for touring full time during the day, Feb. 20-May 18, 2007.  We seek a racially diverse and versatile company to perform two 45-minute adapted productions of Shakespeare for schools and community venues (Much A Doo-Wop About Nothing and Soothsayin’: A Stylin' Julius Caesar), and a 20-minute mini-play at the Festival pre-show nightly from May 23-June 17, 2007 (except Tuesdays).   Auditions are being held Friday, October 27th from 10 AM to 4 PM and Saturday, October 28 from 12 PM to 6 PM at the Repertory Theatre Rehearsal Hall (17 South Old Orchard, Webster Groves, next to Ben Franklin's).  Call 314-531-9800 M-F 10 AM-4 PM to make appointment, beginning October 2.  Please prepare two contrasting, one-minute Shakespeare monologues, 16 bars of a song to be sung a capella, as well as 32 bars of spoken rap.   For more information, visit www.sfstl.com, e-mail Chris Limber, the Education Director (climber@sfstl.com) or call 314-531-9800.
