Casting for HD Shorts

**CONTINUED FROM SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 24th**

Actors are needed for roles in three short films productions
scheduled for the Spring. Each will be shot and mastered in 24p full
high-definition and submitted to regional and national festivals.
Feel free to bring a short prepared piece showcasing your
comedy skills.

5 major male roles

Actors of diverse backgrounds are encouraged to audition.

THE PICKUP

During a weekend motorcycle ride, a stops at a small town bar. He
meets a Girl and their ensuing conversation quickly turns to
flirtation. Their impending rendezvous is cut short when she is
dragged away by a traveling companion; the U.S. Marshal
transporting her to prison.

CAST:

GUY - Late 20's to late 30's, suburban biker look.

GIRL - 20's to early 30's, quiet intensity.

MARSHAL - 30' t0 40's. Intimidating, stern looking
type.

THE LUNCH RUSH

After working her way through school as a waitress, Amanda is close
to landing her dream job. Yet the day of the interview, everything
goes wrong. "The beginning of the rest of her life" quickly becomes
the worst day of her life.

CAST:

AMANDA - 20's to early 30's, recent college graduate, enthusiastic,
organized, and only a little tightly wound.

TINA - 20's to early 30's, Amanda's flaky roommate. Wild hair colors
welcome.

BYRON REYNOLDS - 40's to 50's, regular diner patron and potential
employer.

ANATOMY OF ATTRACTION

A chance meeting in the library ends with two college classmates
deciding to chance a first date. Their preconceptions and indecision
are revealed through inner monologue, with additional commentary
provided by two additional narrators. If they don't scare each other
off, they might actually have a second date.

A great opportunity for comic actors.

CAST:

MIKE - College age guy, quick witted, slightly nervous, but well
meaning.

MEREDITH - College age girl, similar temperament, only slightly more
jaded.

FEMALE NARRATOR - Sarcastic, cautionary voice of feminine wisdom and
experience.

MALE NARRATOR - Equally sarcastic, cautionary voice of male logic and
dating strategy.
