Casting for Sundance 2008 dramatic feature

Dragon Films is proud to announce the kick-off of the casting process
for the dramatic feature length film, "BEHIND BLIND EYES". All roles
are open. To be considered for any of the roles, you will need to:

Be available for auditions, by appointment, on March 10th or 11th.
Submit a headshot and résumé to gdaf@gossworld.net by March 3rd.
Be available for shooting from April - May (mostly Friday through
Mondays).
Be willing and able to work for credit and EXPOSURE.

The film is currently NON-UNION but will obtain waivers for the RIGHT
actors.

The following are the roles that are available:

KADE - early to mid-20s - Male - LEAD
SCHANTEL - early to mid-20s - Female - LEAD

ALEXANDER - mid to late-20s - Male - SUPPORTING
FELICIA - mid to late-20s - Female - SUPPORTING

DANCER 1, 2, and 3 - 20s - Females - SMALL ROLE
JANITOR - middle aged - Male - SMALL ROLE
DANCE DIRECTOR - middle aged - Female - SMALL ROLE
SPA RECEPTIONIST - 20-30s - Female - SMALL ROLE
SPA LADY 1 & 2 - 20-30s - Females - SMALL ROLE
DR. BROWN - middle aged - Male - SMALL ROLE
MRS. TAGANATI - 40-50s - Female - SMALL ROLE
DANCE INSTRUCTOR - 40s - Female - SMALL ROLE
MRS. PETERSON - 50-60s - Female - SMALL ROLE (with small dog,
preferrably)
GUARD - 20s-50s - Male - SMALL ROLE

HOSPITAL NURSE - 25-45 - Female - Featured Extra
PSYCHIATRIST - 40-60 - Male - Featured Extra

SYNOP:
BBE is about a girl, Schantel, that is scheduled to dance a solo in
the local dance company's performance. However, she is mugged,
beaten, and left for dead before she ever had the chance to perform.
Due to this unfortunate incident, Schantel is left with damage to her
optical nerve, becoming blind as a result. She just wants to curl up
and die, to be forgotten about... but her loving, caring, and
extremely supportive boyfriend, Kade, won't allow that. Kade takes
care of Schantel, giving her the strength to move on, to continue to
live and be her normal, wonderful self. Through his dedication and
passion, Schantel eventually goes back into dance, all-the-while
being blind. She works extremely hard and realises that she wants to
fight for her soul - to become the Schantel that she always was,
before the incident. After training with a very strict instructor,
Schantel finds herself ready for her big moment, Kade right there at
her side. She is going to dance the routine, that she was scheduled
to perform but never did, on stage while being BLIND!

All work is unpaid, and all who are cast will gain credit and
EXPOSURE... as this project will be submitted to the Sundance Film
Festival for 2008.
