Non-Equity Auditions April 27 & 28

VETERANS FOR PEACE is seeking up to four versatile actors (three men; one woman) to play multiple rolls in VEIL OF SILENCE, a new play by Andrew Michael Neiman and Suzanne Renard.

Having recently returned from military service in Iraq, staff sergeant Aaron Thomas struggles to reconnect to his former life. In spite of the loving support—and attentive ear—of Amy, his wife, Aaron appears unable to fully confront the horrors he and others in the military committed abroad in the name of freedom. Ricocheting between a haunting, not-so-distant past and a fractured, now-unrecognizable present, Aaron attempts to share the unsharable in an effort to heal himself, his family, and the nation.

Auditions to be held THIS Friday, April 27th (6pm-9pm) and Saturday April 28th (1pm-4pm) at 2500 Ohio, in tandem with auditions for OCTC/SATE's production of PRIDE'S CROSSING by Tina Howe. No prepared monologues; sides from the script will be provided.
Rehearsals to begin the week of April 30th (Immediately). Production will run two weekends: Memorial Day weekend (5/25-5/27, with a possible performance on Memorial Day proper (5/28), and the following weekend (6/1-6/3). Cast will share 10% of box office totals.
