Technical Positions needed for ColeBeanBay Theatre Company
ColeBeanBay Theatre Company, a new professional Equity summer stock theatre company based out of Sainte Genevieve, is looking to hire for the following technical positions. ColeBeanBay will only be producing one LARGE full scale musical this Summer to begin with. Next year, the company will produce a "traditional" summer stock season and bump up to an 11-12 week contract. *Production Stage Manager-Must be a current Equity member or someone who has worked towards becoming an Equity member. Looking for someone who has a lot of patience and experience at working in all sorts of conditions and situations. Contract dates are June 5th-July 15th. We operate under an SPT-2 contract. Tech Director-Ideal candidate will have a strong working knowledge in all aspects of technical theatre. Ability to educate and teach others, work under pressure, and be flexible as well as innovative. Tech Director will supervise and a small crew of paid technicians, as well as interns and local volunteers. Tech Director will oversee and monitor the budget and report directly to the Artistic Directors. This is the perfect opportunity for someone to get in on the ground floor of a growing company. ATD/Master Carpenter-Ideal candidate will have a rough working knowledge in all aspects of technical theatre, with strong carpentry and scenic artistry skills. Ability to educate and teach others, work under pressure, and be flexible as well as innovative. ATD/Master Carpenter will assist TD in supervising a small crew of paid technicians, as well as interns and local volunteers. ATD will supervise building/painting and report directly to the Tech Director, as well as serve on a run crew for all performances. Master Electrician-Ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge in all aspects of lighting and electrics; including but not limited to-making cable, wiring, dimmers, and working with various consoles. Ability to educate and teach others, work under pressure, and be flexible as well as innovative. Master Electrician will supervise a small crew of interns and local volunteers and report directly to the Tech Director, as well as serve on a run crew for all performances. Sound Designer/Tech-Ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge in sound design, mixing, and production, with specific experience in working musical theatre performance. Must be able to design sound for a VERY live space. Set up for orchestra and 60 performers. Ability to educate and teach others, work under pressure, and be flexible as well as innovative. Sound Designer/Tech will supervise interns and local volunteers and report directly to the Tech Director, as well as run the board for all performances. Carpenter/Tech-Perfect entry level position. Must be educated in set construction and proper use and care of tools. Knowledge of prop construction and scenic artistry a plus. Carpenter will report directly to Tech Director and will attend all crew calls and also perform on a run crew for all performances.
