Auditions for OKLAHOMA!

Auditions for Oklahoma! set for Aug. 25 & 27
Missouri Baptist University's Theatre Department is searching for a
host of actors for the ensemble of its fall musical, Oklahoma!

Children (ages eight to fifteen) and adults (sixteen and older) are
welcome to audition. Auditions will be held inside MBU's Pillsbury
Chapel and Dale Williams Fine Arts Center, a quarter mile west of the
intersection of highways 270 and 40, during the following times:

Vocal and acting auditions
Aug. 25 from 1 to 5 p.m.
Aug. 27 from 6:30 to 9 p.m.
Actors should come prepared to sing sixteen bars of a musical theatre
song. Actors should bring sheet music; an accompanist will be
provided. Performing songs from the show are discouraged. To reserve
a five-minute vocal and acting audition time slot, please call (314)

Group Dance Auditions
Aug. 25 from 1:30-2 p.m. and 3-3:30 p.m.
Aug. 27 from 6:30-7 p.m. and 7:30-8 p.m.
Actors may attend any dance audition; no reservation is necessary.

Actors who receive callbacks will be required to sing, dance and read
script. Staggered timeslots for callbacks will be held Tuesday, Aug.
28 beginning at 6 pm.

Oklahoma! is set to open at MBU on Nov. 9. Known for its infectious
score of songs, like "Oh, What a Beautiful Morning" and "People Will
Say We're in Love," Oklahoma! has become one of the most famous stage
musicals ever.

The production, in conjunction with the launch of the University's
new Musical Theatre major, coincides with the musicals 100th
anniversary.

• Times: Nov. 9, 10, 16 and 17 at 7:30 p.m.
Nov. 11 and 18 at 2 p.m.

Students/Senior Adults (65 and older)--$12
