Black Cat Theatre is seeking Dancers, Singers, and a Rock & Roll band

Creating a new Holiday Cabaret. Looking for musicians, a rock band, and dancers to develop a new rock musical to play Friday nights in December 07 - PLUS New Years Eve.

 

Our goal is to produce in workshop environment a new show to run at Black Cat Theatre ongoing.  Looking for artistic partcipation. No pay. However Artist Option if show picks up. Writers include Black Cat Theatre Artistic Director Edie Avioli and Obie Award Winner Kim Hughes. Commitment to evening rehearsals last week of November or first week of December.  Shows schedled for FRIDAYS: Dec 14, 21, 28 and Mon, Dec 31, 07 - New Years Eve.

WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

DANCERS

Hip Hop- 20s - 30s (3 male and/or female)

Ballet - 20s - 40s (3 female)

Jazz - 20s - 40s (must be able to sing and dance)

SINGERS

Rock Singer - one male great voice, tenor

Opera singers - (2 - 3) 20s - 50s

Beat Poet - Girl and Guy - 40ish

A ROCK AND ROLL BAND

Existing rock and or we shall form our own. If we use existing band, they shal have the opportunity to play combination of covers and their music for second at of show.

Black Cat Theatre capacity 200. Great Maplewood location. Nice stage 46x34.

 

Drums, guitar, bass guita, piano-keyboard and saxaphone (has solo)

 

SONG STYLES: Rolling Stones, Dooby Brothers, Joni Mitchell, David Bowie/Queen, Neil Young, Original Gospel Piece, and opening Poetry Rap.
