Non-Equity Auditions for RICHARD III
AUDITIONS for the Shakespeare Festival of St. Louis' production of
"Richard III," Shakespeare's classic tale of politics and power, will
be held Monday, December 10 from 10 am – 6 pm for Equity actors and
Tuesday, December 11 from 1:30 – 9 pm for non-Equity actors.
Auditions will be held at the Repertory Theatre Rehearsal Hall in
Webster Groves (17 S. Old Orchard, 63119). Our new artistic director,
Dawn McAndrews, would like to meet as many local actors as possible,
so please schedule a time even if you've auditioned for us before.
For an audition appointment, please call 314.531.9800, Monday through
Friday from 10 am to 4 pm beginning November 5, 2007.
Directed by Matthew Arbour, the play has roles for 14 men and 4
women (the roles of Richard and Buckingham are cast). Please prepare
two
contrasting, two-minute Shakespeare monologues and bring two copies
of your headshot and resume. For actors who have not had to audition
with
a monologue for some time, sides will be available in advance.
"Richard III" runs in Forest Park from May 23 through June 15, with
previews May 21 and 22. Rehearsals begin April 22. For more
information, visit our website at www.sfstl.com or call 314.531.9800
