Auditions for Spotlight Productions

Spotlight Productions is a community theatre program that is sponsored by Rockwood School District. We will be hosting our productions of Disney's Beauty and the Beast and big, The Musical in Wildwood and Fenton, MO. Beauty and the Beast is considered our youth production with roles for ages 5 and up. We need many adults to fill the principal roles. Rehearsals will be primarily in the daytime from 12:30pm-5pm at Lafayette High School in Wildwood, MO. Rehearsals for principals will begin on May 12th in the evening and switch to a daytime schedule on May 27th. big, The Musical, directed by Glen Guillermo, is for ages 10 and up. We will be rehearsing in the evenings beginning June 2nd at Rockwood Summit High School in Fenton, MO.

WHEN: Auditions for Beauty and the Beast will take place on Saturday, April 19, 2008 at Crestview Middle School Theater (16025 Clayton Rd. Ellisville, MO 63011) between 10am and 6pm. Auditions are by appointment only. big, The Musical auditions will take place on Saturday, April 26, 2008 at Crestview Middle School Theater (16025 Clayton Rd. HOW: Visit www.rsdspotlightproductions.com and schedule your audition. We will fill appointments on a first come-first serve basis. 

WHAT TO PREPARE: Prepare 16 bars of a standard musical theatre selection and bring sheet music in your key, an accompanist will be provided, or an acoustical CD. No acappella auditions will be allowed.  Please wear clothing appropriate to learn and perform a short dance routine in. You will need a headshot, but it does not need to be a professional photo. Also, please bring in your audition form that is available on our website. Beauty and the Beast rehearsals begin May 12th and it runs June 26, 27, 28, & 29 with matinee performances on June 28 & 29. big, The Musical rehearsals begin June 2 and the show runs July 24, 25, 26, 27 and August 1,2, & 3 with matinee performances on June 27 & August 3.

SEEKING: We are seeking children and adults, males and females,  ages 5 and up for Beauty and the Beast and children and adults ages 10 and up, males and females...especially strong teen male chorus... for big, The Musical.
