Auditions for Student Film: The Exile
A quest in a land of outcasts turns into a dangerous journey through the unknown is the basic plot for an upcoming movie, The Exile. This high-school student written and directed project is a feature length production that is currently in pre-production. This is a high school student production, but we're trying to do this as professionally as possible.
It is going to be an amazing movie, but we need actors. Auditions are being held on APRIL 13th 2008 at 5:00 PM at The London Tea Room, an excellent coffee/tea shop located at 1520 Washington Avenue. If you'd like to be a part of this surely epic production, please send an email to theexilemovie@gmail.com, we'd like to have a good idea as to who is coming. There may very well be refreshments.
Characters needed:
The Exile is a bit of a hermit, preferring to be on his own. He is humorous, patient, observant, and wise. He is very selfless and protective, and puts everyone else ahead of himself. M, 17
Kristin is a very moody girl. She experiences the most change throughout the whole story, starting off as angry, stubborn, distrustful, and lost (metaphorically). Upon meeting The Exile, she begins to let go off her anger and hate, and she begins to trust people. F, 17
Philip tends to be a bit cautious, comparable to a young lad heading out on a huge adventure. However, he quickly develops hero like characteristics, including wisdom and courage. M, 17
Oscar lives a good and satisfying life as the Lord of a province. However, his life goes downhill sharply when he allows Kristin and Philip to be sold. He becomes angry and depressed, and he eventually falls into despair. M, 19
Lucius is the wise mentor. He has an answer for everything, but much of the time he prefers to give advice rather than tell them directly what to do. He is like an older version of The Exile. M, 30s
Maor is cunning and wise. He is evil, but he is a gentleman. He is rarely brash, instead he waits patiently for his goals to happen. He knows how to manipulate people into getting what he wants. M, 30s
Relik is brash and impatient. A typical evil head honcho. His desire to retrieve what he wants blinds him from the truth. M, 39
Jacob is a quiet, respectful, and observant young boy. He follows his father, Relik, around and helps point out things his father overlooks. M, 11
Georgia looks on the bright side of life, even though she is a slave. She sees the positive in everything, and offers good advice. F, 18
Derver is a mischievous vagabond. He has a good outlook on life. He is a slightly (slightly) more serious and mature than Sam. M, 17
Sam is a mischievous vagabond. He has a good outlook on life. He tends to be a bit more 'lacking in the head' than Derver. M, 17
Pvt. Jameson is a new recruit. He is a soldier - respectful and loyal. He does have his own opinions that he'd be glad to share if asked. M/F, 18
PFC Lucas is the commander of Oscar's men in the outpost. He is a soldier - respectful and loyal. However, he is not loyal to a fault. M/F, 19
Sgt. Stacker is a very loyal soldier, serving as bodyguard to Relik. He serves his commander, whoever he may be, to the very end. M/F, 20s
Sgt. Green is a very loyal soldier, serving as bodyguard to Relik. He serves his commander, whoever he may be, to the very end. M/F, 20s
Tom is a ruffian, he is bold and only concerned about making money. M, 19
Harry is a ruffian. He's a bit quieter than Tom, but he pretty much has the same demeanor. M/F, 18
Border Guard is a minor character. He doesn't really do much. M/F, 30s
Rtas 'Vadumee, Sesa 'Refumee, and N'tho 'Sraomee are all covered head to toe in their costume. They are evil and menacing. Only one person is needed to portray all three.
Some characters can be male or female as show above.
