Equity and Non-Equity auditions for QUILTERS
Avalon Theatre Company has a limited number of audition slots remaining for
QUILTERS, directed by Millie Garvey. Seeking a diverse cast of seven women (we
are seeing women mid-teens to 60's). Actors of all racial and ethnic
backgrounds are encouraged to attend. All roles are available.
Auditions are by appointment only on Monday, June 16 from 6:00 - 10:00 pm at
Union United Methodist Church, 3543 Watson Road (between Oleatha and Pernod).
Preparation: one song and one monologue. Song should preferably be in
bluegrass, country, or folk style and should not exceed 32 bars. Bring sheet
music in your key, an accompanist will be provided. Monologue should not
exceed 2 minutes and should tell a story (may be one of your own). Please
bring two photos and resumes.

QUILTERS has been chosen as a select performance of the performing arts series
at the Missouri History Museum, and will coincide with the Mary Lee Bendolph,
Gee's Bend Quilts and Beyond exhibition. First rehearsal: March 24, 2009.
Production dates: April 16-26, 2009. Avalon operates under an SPT 1 contract
with Actors' Equity Association. Non-Equity actors receive a stipend. For
