Shakespeare Festival St. Louis Education Tour 2009
AUDITION NOTICE

Shakespeare Festival St. Louis seeks five (5) full-time salaried
positions for its Education Tour 2009 Ensemble.

Casting a racially diverse and versatile company to perform two 50-
minute productions: Windsor Live! (adapted from The Merry Wives of
Windsor) and Quick-Brewed Macbeth (adapted from "The Scottish Play").

Two (2) Equity and three (3) non-Equity contracts (with optional
Equity Membership Candidate points) are available.

AUDITIONS: Friday, September 26, 4:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. and Saturday,
September 27, noon - 5:00 p.m.

CALLBACKS: Sunday, September 28, noon – 4:00 p.m. (These will be
individual one-half hour interviews)

WHERE: The Repertory Theatre Rehearsal Hall
17 S. Old Orchard Avenue
Webster Groves, Missouri 63119 (next to Ben Franklin's)

Please prepare:
Two (2) contrasting, one-minute Shakespeare monologues
Two (2) copies of your headshot and résumé
*Please note that we have removed the 16 bars of a song requirement
from this audition.

Substantial experience teaching young people is desirable.

WHAT: 23-week, salaried contracts, January 12 – June 15, 2009.

CONTRACT: Special Agreement based on an Equity Theatre for Young
Audiences contract. Equity Membership Points are available for non-
Equity cast members.

WHO: Equity and non-Equity actors who sing, move well and have
facility with verse for touring full time during the day; some
evenings and weekends.

WEEKLY HOURS: Tour runs 2/9 – 5/15/09 and consists mostly of day trips
to area schools, Monday through Friday. There are some weekend and
evening performances, and possible overnights at out-state venues.
Starting 5/20/09, schedule shifts to Wednesday through Monday
evenings, for the Festival Green Show.

Callbacks will consist of one-half hour interviews conducted Sunday,
September 28 between noon and 4PM. Be prepared to provide three
employment references at callbacks.
