Auditions - Reminder
Clayton Community Theatre Auditions This Week
Reminder -- This week Clayton Community Theatre holds auditions for
Tennessee Williams's The Parade, or Approaching the End of a Summer
and Edward Albee's Finding the Sun – the St. Louis premiere of both
shows. Sam Hack will direct the evening of one-acts, to be presented
March 27-April 5 at the Washington University South Campus Theatre,
6501 Clayton Road.
There will be two open audition sessions – 7:00 p.m. on Thursday,
January 29 and 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 31. Auditions will be
held at the South Campus Theatre. Auditioners may attend either
session.
The audition will consist of cold readings from sides. Auditioners
are encouraged but not required to bring their theatrical resume and
headshot. Parts are available for as many as seven men and eight
women; character ages range from 16 to 70. Some smaller roles may be
double-cast.
Auditioners should be aware that both of these plays involve adult
themes and explore issues of both gay and straight sexuality.
More information – including a plot summary and a list of roles to be
cast – is available on the CCT website, www.PlacesEveryone.org.
