Auditions for THE PLAYING GROUND - REMINDER

First Run Theatre opens its seventh season with The Playing Ground,
written by John Wolbers and directed by Suki Peters.

Performance Dates are May 22, 23, 29 & 30 evening; May 24 and 31
matinees.

AUDITION DATES: March 28 from Noon - 3PM and March 31 from 7PM -
10PM. No appointment necessary.

Looking to cast three actors (1 male - 2 female, all 20's-30's) who
will play all the roles in the show (see cast breakdown below). The
roles of the children range from moderately physical to very physical
(gymnastic experience is not required, but is a +).

Auditions will be at DeSmet Jesuit High School, 233 N Ballas Road,
Creve Coeur. Auditions will consist of cold readings. Actors
attending the auditions on March 28th may be asked to attend an
additional, brief audition on March 31st. Please bring a headshot /
resume and a list of your conflicts from April 1 - May 31, 2009.

The Playing Ground rehearses Tuesdays, Thursdays & Sundays.

Synopsis:
When three very different children meet on an abandoned playground
during recess, they become friends and their lives change forever.
Through their common bond they are able to overcome prejudice, stop
abuse and discover who they really are and what they want from life.
Brimming with 10 year old insight, side-splitting comedy and heart-
aching drama, this new work from John Wolbers takes an unflinching
look at what today's children face in our modern world.
