New Stage Show Seeks Male Actors via YouTube

We are looking for male actors (see below for details) to showcase
their talents and audition on-line for a new stage show/musical.

How it works: Pick a character below and you'll be sent the script, a
7-10 minute monologue. Record your best effort to video, send it in to
us for posting to YouTube, and shoot for the stars. Winners will be
chosen by a panel of judges and the viewer feedback on-line. Deadline
for submissions is July 1, 2009.

CHARACTERS:

Dr. David Dumas, American, mid-40s, a small-town doctor in Bloom,
Missouri. Dr. Dumas has lived and worked in Bloom his whole life,
prescribing drugs of every kind with the best of intentions for his
patients. Now an infection has arrived on the scene and the whole town
is suffering its symptoms as it spreads like wildfire. Dr. Dumas is
losing his grasp on reality.

Henry O'Dare, American, mid-20s, an average man in his mid to late
20s. Henry recently escaped from a mental institution and is set to
return to his hometown of Bloom, Missouri after ten years of being
cooped up in his padded cell. As he stays the night in a cheap hotel
just outside of Bloom, Henry makes a videotape explaining the fact
that he will infect Bloom with a disease of epic proportions the
following day.

Jesus Sanchez, a Guatemalan foreign-exchange student in his late
teens, zealously anti-American.. Jesus is studying as a high school
senior in Bloom, Missouri. Jesus has a secret motive waiting to Bloom…
