Additional audition dates for Spectrum 2010 - REVISED
at First Run Theatre in Creve Coeur, MO
First Run Theatre has added two audition dates for Spectrum 2010, its Festival of Short Plays. The new dates are this Tuesday (9/7) and Thursday (9/9), from 6 PM to 8 PM, at DeSmet Jesuit High School, in Creve Coeur. First Run Theatre will present 8 short plays, with lengths ranging from 10 minutes to no more than 20 minutes, with a total cast list of 27 characters. All roles are non-paid for this production. Each actor may be asked to play a role in more than one play. Beth Ashby and Delyth Wells are co-directing; each will direct four of the plays.
The plays and cast requirements are:
Report to the Major, by Neville Mur: 2 males one 35 to 40; one early 20s – race irrelevant
The Elopement, bu Thelma Urich: 2 males, 20s & 40+. 2 females, 20s & 40+ – older male & both females should be same race
Monks and Bunnies, by Joshua Thomas: 2 males – age and race irrelevant.
10-Minute Antigone, by Stephen Dierkes: 1 female (20s) 1 male (40+) (should be same race) 2 Greek Chorus players (sex, age & race irrelevant)
Potato District, by Valleri Dillard: 2 males, 1 young scrappy; one older muscular - race irrelevant
Blue Moon, by Valleri Dillard: 1 female & 1 male youngish-looking 20s; white preferred
Teething Pains, by Jo A. Hiestand: 2 male 30s; 2? females 30s; 1 male 20s;1 female any age; 2 M or F any ages. Race is irrelevant for all roles except that the “2? Females” must be the same race,
The Music of the Goddess, by Joshua Cook: 1 white female (20s); 1 white Male (30s); 2 gods; 1 goddess; (gods and goddess can be of any race.)
Spectrum 2010 will be presented Oct. 15, 16, 17, 22, 23, and 24. Sunday performances are matinees; all other are evenings. Please bring a resume and head shot, if you have one. We want to start the auditions promptly at the posted time, so, if at all possible, please be at DeSmet a few minutes prior to the times listed above.
