Description:
This acting workshop is for the actor who wants to hone his/her skills through advanced scene and monologue work.
Concepts Taught in this workshop: *Develop a deeper sense of understanding of a character within a scene and monologue.
- Explore the dynamics, conflict and discoveries between characters in a scene through analysis, improvisation and moment-to-moment work.
Requirements: *Each participant should bring in two contrasting contemporary monologues. *Each participant should have an idea of what he/she wants to be a point of focus, so to style the class to fit his/her needs

About the Instructor:
Milton Zoth has worked in St. Louis for over twenty five years. Milt was the founder and Artistic Director for Orthwein Theatre Company, Associate Artistic Director of St. Louis Shakespeare, Education Director of MUNY 1st Stage and is now the Artistic Director of St. Louis Actors’ Studio. Most recently, he directed A Doll’s House for St. Louis Actors’ Studio. Milt was nominated for best direction for the play, Metamorphoses, produced by St. Louis Shakespeare. for STLAS, Milt will direct Rock’Roll by Tom Stoppard and Sunshine Boys by Neil Simon this fall and will spearhead the workshop with Neil Labute this spring.
