“Fleeting Youth” is a film about two young musicians struggling to make their mark in an ambivalent world. As graduation approaches, Kendra grapples between continuing to pursue her music duo with her boyfriend Jackson or leave him behind to study music formally, pending her acceptance to prestigious universities.

KENDRA (seeking actress 18-25, caucasian, slender build)

Kendra is a witty but reserved high school senior. She’s studied music formally her whole life, but also shares a passion for writing indie music with Jackson. She loves him but starts to realize her goals may be at odds with Jackson’s. She is also afraid of what might happen to him if she chooses to let go of their project, and possibly their relationship, instead opting to study music on the other side of the country. Due to this fear, she hasn’t disclosed to Jackson that she’s applied to NYU, and the guilt is overwhelming.

JACKSON (seeking actor 18-25, caucasian, slender build)

While Jackson possesses much of the same natural talent as Kendra, he is not a formally trained musician. He comes from a lower socio-economic background than his girlfriend, but still has aspirations to do something significant. He comes from a broken family who has neglected and seemingly forgotten about him as his parents have remarried and started new lives. He relies on Kendra for emotional support, but has been equally loving and supportive, often acting as a big brother towards her younger brother Shane. With college financially out of reach, Jackson’s goal is to hit the road with Kendra, and “make it” on their terms as professional indie musicians.
