Otherwise bring sheet music/backup CD, be prepared to sing acappella.

Roles
The Spellers:
CHIP TOLENTINO (Also plays Jesus) - Reining champion, athletic, social,
going through some weird changes.
LOGAINNE SCHWARTZANDGRUBENNIERE - The youngest speller, driven by
internal and external pressure, but above all by a desire to make her two fathers proud.
LEAF CONEYBEAR (Also plays dad: Carl Grubbenierre) - A second alternate, he never expected to compete.
Home schooled, everything is an adventure to him, he doesn't expect to win,
just have fun. He wears a cape and a protective helmet to the bee.
WILLIAM BARFEE - A host of health problems and a lot to prove. Loud, combative and
defensive. The overweight kid who becomes a bully to avoid being picked on.
MARCY PARK - The ultimate over-achiever. She's multi-talented, and assumes God,
like her parents, demand perfection. She sees herself as a mass of problems,
but she keeps them to herself.
OLIVE OSTROVSKY - A word lover, fairly quiet life. She starts enormously shy,
and shyly blossoms.
The Adults:
RONA LISA PERRETTI (Also plays Olive's Mom in fantasy) - Bee's longtime hostess, a local realtor, and 3rd Annual Bee Champion...this is her day to be queen.
DOUGLAS PANCH - Junior High principal who is frustrated with his life. The drive of the young spellers is alien to him. Has had a crush on Rona since the "old days".
MITCH MAHONEY (Also plays dad: Dan Schwartz and also plays Olive's dad) - A bouncer's physique and demeanor, an odd choice to be the bee's "comfort counselor" but it's part of his parole/community service assignment.
