We are proud to announce that the hilarious and irreverent comedy DEARLY DEPARTED will launch our spectacular line-up of shows on February 9, 2018. The show will be directed by Act Two veteran actor and director Jacki Goodall. Auditions will be November 20 and 21 at 7pm. Complete audition details will be posted here later this week. This is a larger cast show requiring a plethora of mature actors in addition to actors of all ages. Here's some info about the show:

Short Synopsis: A southern comedy of caskets and country craziness puts the "fun" in funeral. When "mean and surly" Mr. Turpin suddenly dies, his nitwit relations from church and county come together to merrily mark his demise in a hilarious melting pot which includes a loud Bible thumping widow, a businessman who cleans parking lots, a reverend with the runs, a tubby junk food enthusiast, and a super-duper suspicious wife.

Longer Synopsis: This deliciously hilarious comedy deals with a group of small town southerners, trying to get through a family funeral without causing even more grief. When the Patriarch of the Turpin family keels over dead in the first scene, the struggle to get him buried involves the whole clan, including the not-so-grieving widow who wants to put “mean and surly” on the tombstone. Despite the comedic efforts of this family to pull themselves together for the funeral, their other problems keep overshadowing the solemn occasion: oldest son, Ray-Bud, drinks himself silly as the funeral bills mount, Junior, the younger son, is juggling financial ruin, a pack of unruly kids and a wife who suspects him of infidelity in the family car, and their unmarried sister, Delightful, continues to seek consolation by eating junk food. Amidst the chaos, the Turpin family turns to an eccentric community of misfits for comfort, and they just manage to pull everyone together through their hours of need.

Director Jacki Goodall is seeking the following:
5 Adult Males, ages: 20's to 80's
8 Adult Females, ages: 20's to 80's
