Auditions began at 12:30 p.m. and continue with slots at 1:30, 2:30, 3:30 & 4:30. You may request a specific time if necessary and we’ll do our best to fit you in. MINIMUM AGE TO AUDITION IS 16. There are many character roles in this show — everyone will be see a lot of stage time.

For the audition you’ll need to prepare a 32-bar musical cut from BELLS ARE RINGING or any Broadway show of a similar style. We request that you NOT sing “The Party’s Over.” Try to sing “the good parts” of a song that showcases your voice and range and try to pick a song that’s in the same genre as the song(s) of the character(s) you are seeking to portray. You’ll need to provide sheet music in your key (no recordings or digital tracks, please). If your selection is from BELLS ARE RINGING we will ask you to sing in the actual show key (vocal selections from the film are not necessarily in the same key!). An accompanist with be provided. There are many character roles to be filled — each cast member will see a lot of stage time.

You should also be prepared to learn a simple dance combination. It won’t be terribly difficult; we just want to check your basic movement. Two characters (Carl and Carol) are featured dancers and will need more extensive dance experience – if you cha-cha we want to see you!

PERFORMANCE DATES: OCTOBER 5, 6, 12, & 13 at 7:30 p.m and OCTOBER 14 at 2:00 p.m (5 Total Performances)

The rehearsal schedule will depend upon the availability of the cast but will most likely consist of Sunday afternoons/evenings and two or three weekday evenings each week. Not all cast members will be called to all rehearsals. Mandatory rehearsal dates (i.e., no conflicts): Sept 23 & 27; Sept 30 through Oct 6; and Oct 10 through Oct 14.
