Student Variety Children's Theatre auditions for The Wizard of Oz

Children of all abilities are invited to audition!

Variety Children's Theatre 2011 Audition Schedule
Saturday, May 14 9 a.m. Child auditions
1 p.m. Adult auditions (by appointment)
Sunday, May 15 1:30 p.m. Adult and child principal callbacks

Children must be 7-16 years old to audition and come prepared with sheet music to sing eight bars of a song of his or her choice - or simply "Happy Birthday" - and dance basic steps provided by Choreographer Mark Krupinski. Children are also asked to bring their most recent photo.

Adults should schedule their auditions for Saturday afternoon by contacting the audition coordinator, Laura Boyle at 314-453-0453 x120. Adults should come prepared with sheet music, a monologue and a resume with photo attached.

Variety kids are also invited to work behind-the-scenes under the direction of the city's most talented theater professionals. Roles include shadowing the director, executive producer, choreographer, scenic designer, sound engineer, scenic artist, and more! This is a wonderful opportunity for children who would like to be involved in the production, but need a more flexible schedule.
