Casting Acts for Mimi And Jack's Gong Show
at The Jumpin Jupiter in association with the Randy Dandies in Maplewood, MO
Mimi Le Yu and Jack Deuce of the Randy Dandies are hosting The Gong Show, a zany open mic night, at the Jumpin' Jupiter. The Gong Show will be presented on the second Thursdays of every month starting this Thursday, August 11th.
We are seeking a variety of acts such as singing, acting, juggling, dancing and more. If you have a fun talent that you would like to share, play an instrument, or have an idea of something that you've always wanted to do on stage, this is the opportunity for you to have free range of creativity. We want spunky acts including comical bad acts that are willing to be gonged.
All participants will receive a prize courtesy of the Jumpin' Jupiter. Acts of particular interest may be asked to join the regular cast in a paid position. Participants will sign up with the hostess at the door at the beginning of the night and will be given a set in which they will perform. Doors open at 8pm and the show starts at 9pm.
Sets for participants will be at 9:30pm, 10:30pm, and 11:30pm. Get there early to sign up for a time slot. Please bring any materials that you will be requiring to perform your act (ie: song, outfit, trombone, etc), and please make sure these materials are CLEARLY LABELED. Turn these materials in at the door and let the hostess know any special accommodation you will require for your talent/performance, then wait in the audience until your name is called!
If you are good or bad, we still want you on stage. And remember, it is all in good fun.
