Open Modeling Call Ages 18 and Up
at Studio31Four Commercial Photo Studio in St. Louis, MO
I am trying to put together an agenda for Sunday September 18th 2011 shoot. Here are the details I can release at this time:
1) The shoot will be done by Studio 314 photographers - David Kilper, Jasen Vinlove, Ray Prapaisilp, Steve Grappe, Jeff Le, Clint Hays, Kris Hanke, and Tom Spalding.
2) The location is a bar/restaurant in the Delmar Loop area - it is a new bar/restaurant and we will be releasing the information of the location on Thursday after we have a list of all involved - we will not be PUBLICLY releasing this information to control the people there. This is an exclusive event.
3) Food and drinks will be provided for participants by the restaurant throughout the day.
4) This will be a unique opportunity for models to get some really cool shots, unlike they typically get for portfolio style shoots. This is more of a "Tearsheet" style event with specific shots being staged in an advertising style. The idea is to help everyone involved create TRUE PORTFOLIO QUALITY images that look like ads, not just random shots.
5) Hair and Makeup will be provided - there will be no charge - but we ask that you all bring money to tip the stylists and artists.
6) There will be NO CHARGE for those chosen for this event. This is an appreciation event and for fun! We are excited to do a shoot that is very different from other style shoots. We tried to come up with a cool approach that would actually give everyone involved some very strong images they could actually use to get work. We will have a shot list and this will be run more like a commercial shoot, than a supershoot - specific shots on a shortlist, cool lighting - group shots, shots of people eating, dancing, hanging out, etc. AGAIN, this is meant to help build your commercial portfolio - which people generally do not get the opportunity to do.
7) We ask that all models bring two - three outfits - one would be a dressy club style outfit - one would be something you would wear out to a dressy date night and one would be something fun, sexy and casual.
8) The company we are working with will be producing a calendar and having calendar four calendar "tryout nights" - this will be the first of the four tryouts on this day and three models will be chosen from the St Louis Fashion Network to appear in their calendar. This is a great opportunity for our models.
9) Unfortunately, the shoot will be limited to models 18 or over. We NEED male models - a good ratio of guys to girls - if the girl models have a boyfriend or guy friend they would like to get involved - this is a perfect opportunity. Experience is not necessary - just someone that looks good.
I need to know who is interested in doing this by tomorrow night at 9pm, so I can send out the exact location and instructions for the shoot. Space is limited to 30-35 models and preference will be given to models who have shot with the St Louis Fashion Network or Studio 314 in the past. Please post here or inbox me if you can commit to being there. I will let you know if you have been accepted by 9pm tomorrow night - with instructions for the shoot. This is first come/first serve with preference given to past models of our events.
