Part-time Art Teacher Assistant
at I heart Arts, LLC in St. Louis City, MO
Qualifications:
• Loves kids
• Demonstrated experience working with children
• Ability to teach and lead various art projects activities
• Excellent character, integrity and adaptability
• Ability to communicate and work with a variety of age and skill levels
• The desire and ability to work in a cooperative, team-oriented atmosphere
• Enthusiasm, sense of humor, patience and self-control
• Pass a MO State run background check.
• Have a High School Diploma, Art training and some college, Art degree is a plus
• Need to be available for training which will be announced.
• Available Monday – Friday on a part-time basis to teach students sometimes during school and after school hours.
Teacher Assistant Responsibilities
• Recognize and respond to opportunities for group problem solving
• Provide opportunities for the classes so that each individual experiences success while at art class
• Encourage respect for personal property, art equipment and facilities
• Meet/communicate regularly with Director regarding concerns, updates, and challenges
• Submit all required paperwork on time
IMPORTANT QUALITIES YOU MUST POSSESS…
1. High energy and passion to nurture and educate children through art projects
2. Preferably with some experience in educating children
3. Degree/Diploma in education or equivalent is an advantage
4. The ability to give “warm smiles” on a daily basis
5. A desire to have fun!!!!
Flexible & negotiable working hours, depending on requirement and availability
Salary: commensurate with experience
