St. Charles Christmas Traditions
is looking for a few more males for our 2011 season

Auditions/interviews will be held by appointment
THIS THURSDAY, OCTOBER 13th
Callbacks will be held Oct 15th (time TBD)

Holiday Characters and Santas:
Professional acting experience is not required, but an outgoing personality and the ability to cheerfully interact with the public ‘in-character’ is essential. Applicants must be in good physical condition and able to walk short distances outdoors throughout the day.
Please prepare a short (1-2 min) Christmas story to tell in character
Characters to be cast:

  • Scrooge (age 40+) must be able to do or learn a light British accent
  • German Santa Kris Kringle (age 20+) must be able to do or learn a German accent
  • Cockney Chestnut Roaster (age 16+) must be able to do or learn a cockney accent

Christmas Carolers (SATB):
Qualified candidates will have experience singing in small and/or large ensembles, must learn music quickly and have the ability to cheerfully interact with the public in all types of weather.
Applicants are asked to prepare 16 measures of a Christmas carol to be sung acapella.
Role to be cast:

  • Tenor Caroler

All applicants: must be available Saturdays 10a-9p and Sundays 12-5, plus Wednesday and Friday evenings 6p-9p from Nov. 25 – Dec. 24.
Some conflicts can be worked around, but availability will be given strong consideration when casting.
All positions are paid
Paid mandatory rehearsals will be held throughout late October and November.

All applicants must be 16 years of age by November 25
Everyone cast will become a seasonal employee of the City of St. Charles.
