Casting Lead Roles for Short Film
at Safe Haven: A Short Film in St. Louis City, MO
We are casting two roles for an upcoming short film. Filming will take place on November 4-6. Auditions will take place on Sunday, October 23. Safe Haven will be filmed on a Red One camera.
Safe Haven is a short thriller about a couple taking shelter in a vacant farm house. As their situation grows more desperate, they begin to turn on each other.
Two roles are being cast:
Allison – Caucasian female; Late 20’s to Mid 30’s; Main character of the film. Caught off guard by her husband’s sudden change in behavior, she tries to make sense and keep control of the situation.
David – Caucasian male; Late 20’s to Mid 30’s; Allison’s husband; A normally reserved scientist, but recent events have caused him to act irrational and volatile.
Actors are asked to prepare a brief monologue from contemporary television, film or theater. They will also perform cold readings from the script.
To be considered for either role, please send a headshot and resume to sjhugg@gmail.com with “Safe Haven” and the role for which you are auditioning in the subject.
Compensation for these roles will be in the form of exposure and copies of the finished film.
