ACT II Theater Announces its Sensational 19th Season
ACT II Theater, based in St. Peters, Missouri, announces its sensational and ambitious 19th season, all taking place at its new 318-seat theater located in the St. Peters Cultural Arts Centre in City Hall next to the Rec-Plex.

SWEENEY TODD: DEMON BARBER OF FLEET STREET
ACT II opens the season with Robert Harling’s perennial favorite, Steel Magnolias, running Feb 10. 11. 12. 17. 18 19. This alternately hilarious and touching play focuses on the camaraderie of six softhearted “magnolias” with steely dispositions who come face to face with life’s most difficult times and are brought together through strength and love.

On April 27, 28, 29 and May 4, 5, 6, theater’s most famous 'whodunit' finally comes to the ACT II stage. Agatha Christie's The Mousetrap follows a group of strangers - one of whom is a murderer - trapped in a boarding house during a snowstorm. Here's your opportunity to enjoy every suspenseful moment and unexpected revelation in the longest-running show in theatre history.

The much-anticipated third installment in the Tuna trilogy takes the audience on another satirical ride into the hearts of Texas' third smallest town. Tuna's perennial favorites plus some new Tuna denizens set the stage for fireworks and fun from the land where the Lion's Club is too liberal and Patsy Cline never dies in this sidesplitting spoof of life in rural America.

ACT II closes its sensational 19th season with the eight time TONY Award winning and world renowned musical, Sweeney Todd: Demon Barber of Fleet Street, with music and lyrics by the incomparable Stephen Sondheim and book by Hugh Wheeler, Oct. 26, 27, 28 and November 2, 3, 4. In this musical thriller set in London a respected barber is exiled and wrongfully imprisoned in Australia for 15 years. He returns to London, assuming the name Sweeney Todd, to once again set up his shop with only one mission...revenge. Please note that Sweeney Todd may not be suitable for younger audiences.
