Open Flutist/Woodwind player for The Secret Garden

at COCA Theatre Company in University City, MO

Seeking a highly skilled, teenaged flutist or woodwind player for the role of The Robin in THE SECRET GARDEN. This is a showcase opportunity for an accomplished young performer!

The Robin, a bird, Mary's friend, a vital part of the story telling (seeking an actor who is comfortable with lots of stage time and who plays a musical instrument VERY WELL, preferably flute, but open to other instruments as well)

Auditions are being held: Friday, Nov 18, 2011 (4:00 PM - 6:00 PM) and Saturday, Nov 19, 2011 (1:00 PM - 4:00 PM). If auditioning for the role of The Robin, please bring an audition piece to play on your instrument.
Seeking Young Actors (ages 12-18) for COCA’s acting ensemble that will present a highly theatrical adaptation of the classic book by Frances Hodgson Burnett, and adapted by Pamela Sterling. The Secret Garden is the winner of the American Alliance Distinguished Play Award. Directed by Shanara Gabrielle, performances are January 27 and 28 at COCA.
COCA Theatre Company produces a season of plays and musicals each year featuring student performers. The show is cast by audition and fully produced in either COCA's Founders' Theatre. Students rehearse at COCA on Monday, Wednesday and Friday evenings and Sunday afternoons, from Dec. 4th through January 26th. If cast, students must pay a $195 participation fee; need-based financial aid is available for those who qualify. CTC is a company for serious and developing young actors and is led by professional directors, designers, music directors, and choreographers.
