Student Professional Development Class for the Serious Acting Student

at Stages Academy in Chesterfield, MO

Ever wonder how actors on stage and in movies cry? How they are believable funny lovers in one film and maniacal killers in the next? This acting curriculum is for students who are serious about acting and have come to the conclusion that the answer to the question “What do you want to be when you grow up?” is “an actor!” Students are taught a technique of acting normally taught in college and professional studios in New York and LA, preparing the teen and young adult student for college or professional classes. The class not only teaches the basics of acting, but instills the discipline, and commitment required by professional actors. Former students have gone on to study acting at Loyola University, Mizzou and Emerson and have found that they enter those programs ahead of their peers.

While students need not have previous acting experience, they must have a passion for acting and a desire and commitment to work hard at it.

Admission is by teacher interview only. Interviews will take place the first week of January. Classes are at Stages Academy in Chesterfield on Thursday nights beginning the week of January 16th. Please call Stages at 636-530-5959 for more information and an appointment
