The Cultural Arts Center of St. Louis, LLC is offering the following 6-month internship opportunities starting Jan. 15th 2012:
Production Management Intern (1 Position Available)
Acting Internship (2 Positions Available)
Dance Understudy/Intern (1 Position Available)
Vocal Understudy Program/Intern (1 Position Available)
Work schedules can be flexible during the weeks of staging. Everyone must be present for rehearsals and for every performance during the run.
Internships are pre-professional training/internship positions which include assisting/observing the stage manager, director and actors in rehearsal, with backstage responsibilities during each performance.
The ideal candidates should have an interest in learning about the rehearsal and performance aspects of stage management, and an interest in the backstage world of performance. Some experience in theater is helpful, but not required. Candidates should be out-going, friendly, and able to work with groups of people including other interns.
These are non-paid positions. College credit may be available depending on the requirements of your college or university. Benefits include first-hand working exposure to theater professionals, access to parties and special events during the run of the show, and of course, free tickets to on-going shows.
