Open Buskers, Street Theater, Local Talent

at Renaissance St. Louis in Wentzville, MO

The St. Louis (MO, USA) Renaissance Faire at Rotary Park in Wentzville, MO is looking for 3 to 6 street-theater-style stage acts appropriate for the Renaissance Faire Stage, where the fourth wall is meant to be broken. The Faire is a family-friendly, four-weekend event beginning May 19, running Saturdays, Sundays, and Memorial Day until June 9, 2012. The Faire is also seeking 6 to 12 street performer/buskers to entertain in the lanes at the Faire. We are looking for musicians, mimes, minstrels, magicians, jugglers, balladeers, and assorted variety artists. Performers are expected to provide their own era-appropriate costuming and props. Performers can pass the hat and may receive a small daily stipend, depending on the act. Auditions will be held at the Masonic Hall, 602 Meyer Road, Wentzville, MO 63385, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., Saturday, January 7, 2012; 10 a.m. to Noon, Saturday, January 21, 2012; and 6 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, February 8, 2012.
