Kids' Auditions for HAIRSPRAY and CHARLIE & THE CHOCOLATE FACTORY
at Jewish Community Center in Chesterfield, MO
Does your child have a flair for the dramatic? Fine tune their dramatic, musical or dancing skills while rehearsing for a play. It’s fun and educational. No previous experience is needed, and all who audition are cast. Rehearsals are Sunday afternoons at our Marilyn Fox Building in Chesterfield beginning January 29 with performances in our Arts & Education building of the Staenberg Family Complex in Creve Coeur.
Jack and the Beanstalk
K-2nd grade
Whether your little one is shy or wants to be the center of attention this is the perfect start to your child’s adventure into the world of theatre, music and dance.
No audition is required. Performance on April 1.
Charlie and the Chocolate Factory

Produced by special arrangement with Dramatic Publishin of Woodstock, IL
3rd – 5th grade
Adapted from the Roald Dahl classic, this musical is a candy-tastic blast! Join Charlie, Grandpa Joe and the delightfully crazy Willy Wonka in a world of pure imagination! No previous experience is needed, and all who audition are cast.
Auditions are January 22, Performances on May 17 & 20
Hairspray
Based on the New Line Cinema film written and directed by John Waters
Presented through special arrangement with Musical Theatre International.
5th – 8th grade
This Rock & Roll, Broadway and Hollywood hit is coming to the J. No previous experience is needed, and all who audition are cast.
Auditions are January 22, Performances on April 18 & 22
