My Name is Tommy Holmes. I'm a casting director of a Senior Overview film at Webster University known as, "The Comeback" directed by Taylor Leonard. This film is being followed by the Webster University SAG student agreement. Non-SAG should apply as well. "The Comeback" shall be shot sometime during the time of January through March of 2010. The following is the synopsis for "The Comeback" and the character breakdowns.
Synopsis: “The Comeback” is a boxing story that features the life of Cameron growing up and how it affects his boxing match versus the older Duke. Throughout the match, Cameron is plagued by flashbacks of his past. As the match progresses, Cameron continues to struggle, but is able to overcome his past and is able to comeback and win the epic battle between the veteran and newcomer.
Cameron: A boxer in his early-twenties who has a troubled past that inspires him to keep fighting.
Duke: The boxer in his late-thirties who is past his prime, but is trying to make his comeback and regain his former glory.
Manager: The fiery manager of Cameron. He doesn’t let Cameron lose sight of victory.
Cutman: Cameron’s assistant who refuses to let Cameron quit.
Eleven-Year-Old Cameron: The young boy with an abusive Father who idolizes the Younger Duke and looks to Duke for strength.
Younger Duke: The Duke that can be represented in his “glory days”. He only appears on a poster.
Cameron’s Father: The father of the younger Cameron. He is a very large, hulking man who gets in fits of rage that cause him to beat his son, Cameron.
Duke’s Daughter: A young girl who is no older than the age of 13. She is present throughout the crowd as match partakes. She is seen with a bruised eye and welts present throughout her body.
Announcer: The bouncing ring announcer who has a very booming and commanding presence.
