Auditions will be cold readings from the script. There are several singing roles in this play for the second act- please note the actor in the role of George needs to be able to sing.
Auditions will be by appointment.
There is a stipend that will be paid to the actors.

From the writer and director of The Violinist comes a new show, Tony and Liz Tie the Knot, an energetic romp into the wonder and perils of relationship and marriage. Set here in St. Louis, Tony and Liz is a spin-off of Tony and Tina’s Comedy Wedding, a hugely popular, interactive dinner show currently running in Boston, New York, Vegas and San Francisco.
But this show is unique in an important way. Just as The Violinist explored the challenges of a family dealing with autism, the lead character in this show is George Vasapoli, an adult with Asperger’s. George’s family is the stereotypical Italian family, loud, boisterous, overbearing and obnoxious. His brother is getting married, but George had never really thought about romance before. Then, he meets Amanda. She might be perfect for him if his family can be quiet long enough to let him find out!
The show opens on September 21st at the Gaslight Theater in Central West End. The second act includes dinner featuring local St. Louis restaurants and bakeries. As Tony and Liz’s special guests, you become part of the show, eating, dancing, laughing and toasting the newlyweds at their actual wedding reception. Best of all, this wonderful evening is being done entirely as a fundraiser for the local charity Action For Autism.
All money raised stays in the St. Louis area and benefits families coping with the challenges of autism.
