Performances begin in Edinburgh, Scotland: August 1, 2012
Job: Understudy the role of OTHELLO/ENSEMBLE with a very good chance of opening the production in Edinburgh and performing some shows (the actor who originated the role is expecting his first child August 1 in the States so is expected to miss a number of performances.) The contract runs through August 12, 2012 with a possible two week extension through August 26.
Salary: $566/week in Chicago; $1,063/wk in Edinburgh (which includes a $71 per diem). All travel and housing in Chicago and Edinburgh covered in contract.
This is a four-man, hip-hop re-telling of OTHELLO, requiring an actor with both excellent rap and acting skills. Some vocal and movement ability also required. PLEASE NOTE: This project contains adult language and themes.
All actors auditioning need to be AEA or willing to turn AEA. ACTOR MUST ALSO HAVE OR ABILITY TO IMMEDIATELY OBTAIN A CURRENT U.S. PASSPORT.
