Volunteer Male singers

at River City Pops: A Singing Ensemble in St. Louis, MO

River City Pops, a nonprofit, 12-member adult singing ensemble, has openings for male singers. This is an excellent opportunity for singers interested in honing their singing and performing skills in a small-group setting. Past choir experience helpful.

The group specializes in hour-long programs developed around a specific theme or composer. Recent programs have included revues of Cole Porter and Gershwin music and signature songs of popular singing artists and bands. Currently, the group is beginning to rehearse "The Nominees," a revue of songs that either won or were nominated for Academy Awards. Programs consist of four-part harmony arrangements featuring the entire group, as well as songs performed in quartets, trios, duets and solos.

Rehearsals are held weekly on Tuesday evenings in the Skinker/Clayton Road area. On average, the group performs twice a month for venues that include retirements centers, benefits and private parties. An annual public performance consisting of two consecutive evenings and one matinee is scheduled at venues such as the Gaslight Theater and Tower Grove Abbey.
