Here is the ORIGINAL notice:

First Run Theatre, a professional company dedicated to presenting world premiere productions of plays by local-area playwrights, opens its eighth season with The Healing of Joey Padowaski, by Mario Farwell. It will be directed by Vanessa Roman and produced by Jim Meady. Performance dates are June 4, 5, 11, and 12 (evening performances); and June 6 and 13 (matinee performances.) This is a non-Equity production.

The play takes place in New York City, in the Autumn. Joey Padowaski is a young Black man who received the power of healing – a power he never wanted – after a near-death experience on Lake Champlain. His one constant companion, aside from the hordes of people clamoring for his “service,” is a voice in his head. This “voice” is very real to Joey, and represented on stage by a Caucasian male. Joey is surrounded by people who offer him advice on how to use this power… some for their own benefit but not necessarily for Joey’s own good.

The cast consists of:

Joey Padowaski.................... Tall, handsome, fair-skinned black male in his early thirties
Neil Levin........................ Slightly built Jewish male in his early thirties
Saffle Graham..................... Large, imposing black male in his late fifties
Sarah Fedderson................... An attractive, white woman in her mid-thirties, showing signs of wear and tear.
Howard Mc Kenzie.................. A white male in his early forties - overbearing, vulgar and brutish
Clarisse Contanza................. A flamboyant, attractive black, drag queen in her early thirties
Mildred Padowaski................. Joey’s mother, a domineering black woman in her sixties
