Auditions for OLIVER
at Variety the Children's Charity of St. Louis in Webster Groves, MO
Variety the Children’s Theatre of St. Louis announces that the Charles Dickens musical classic “Oliver!” will be presented at the Touhill Performing Arts Center Oct. 14-17, 2010, on the Anheuser-Busch Main Stage.
Location: Webster University Studios, 17 Old Orchard, Webster Groves, 63119, for all auditions and call backs.
CHILDREN’S AUDITIONS – Sunday, May 2
- Open to ALL children, ages 8-17
- 2:30 – 7 p.m.
ADULT AUDITIONS (Equity and Non Equity) – Tuesday, May 4
- Ages 18 and up
- 6-7:30 p.m. – Equity Appointments
- 7:30-9 p.m. – Non Equity Appointments

CALL BACKS – Friday, May 7
- 5-7 p.m.
General Audition Information:
- Age requirement must be met on the day of the auditions.
- Auditioners should be prepared to sing eight measures of a song. Please bring your own sheet music in the key that you will be singing. An accompanist will be provided. No a capella or recorded music.
- Auditioners will be taught a dance routine, and should wear comfortable clothes and shoes.
- These are closed auditions (not open for viewing by the public, parents or guardians).
- Jan Albus is executive producer, Lara Teeter is director, Marty Strohmeyer is assistant director, Greg Schweizer is musical director and Mark Krupinski is choreographer.
The Variety Children’s Theatre gives children of all abilities the opportunity to perform and learn from top St. Louis theater professionals. In keeping with Variety’s mission in the community, the program will be fully inclusive, featuring children of differing abilities as well as professional adults and children with professional experience. The Variety Children’s Theatre was established in 2009 through a generous grant from Nancy and Ken Kranzberg, local arts community patrons.
