Stray Dog Theatre Summer Conservatory

Stray Dog Theatre Summer Conservatory announces auditions for students ages 13-18 to be selected for this unique and amazing program.
WHO: Students ages 13-18 who are serious about theatre and the performing arts.
WHEN: Auditions are taken by appointment only for Saturday, May 8th from 10am-2pm and Monday, May 10th from 6pm-9pm. Call 314-435-7760 or email landonshaw@gmail.com for an appointment. The Conservatory will run Monday-Friday from July 12th-July 30th.
WHAT: Please prepare a one-minute monologue that shows your range. You may be asked to do some improvisational exercises. Auditions will also consist of a brief interview. 28 students will be accepted into this unique program. 25 students will focus on acting and 3 students will focus on Directing and Stage Management.
WHERE: Auditions will take place at the Tower Grove Abbey, the home of Stray Dog Theatre. Located at 2336 Tennessee Ave. in South Saint Louis City.
The Stray Dog Theatre Summer Conservatory is designed and led by Equity actor, director, producer and educator, Landon Shaw. The program will run Monday through Friday from 9:30am-4pm and will consist of instruction each morning and rehearsal for The Laramie Project each afternoon which will be presented for an audience at the end of the conservatory program. If accepted into the program, there is a small tuition fee.
Students of all experience levels and interests are encouraged to audition. Whatever your interest may be in theatre, this program has been designed to give every student professional training and instruction, as well as hands on experience in producing a professional production from start to finish.
