ITP seeks performers of all shapes, sizes, ages and experience for 'Drawn & Quartered' ensemble
at Immediacy Theatre Project in St. Louis City, MO
Immediacy Theatre Project (ITP) will hold auditions for its 2010 'Drawn & Quartered' series next Saturday, June 12. Auditions will begin at 10:00 am and continue until 2:00 pm at the St. Louis Public Library Barr Branch (1701 South Jefferson Avenue St Louis, MO 63104) in the downstairs conference room.
Seeking 3-6 new ensemble members of all ages, shapes and sizes for this collaborative, modern series. ITP wants enthusiastic people who are okay with being themselves onstage. With four 'Drawn & Quartered' episodes this year (July 30, 31; August 20, 21; September 24, 25; October 29, 30; all at Mad Art Gallery in Soulard), new ensemble members will be cast in 1-4 episodes depending on availability and other factors.
Those auditioning should come ready with an original, personal 2-minute monologue or may read from a cold reading provided by ITP. Headshots and resumes accepted but not necessary. Please contact matt.heckman@immediacytheatre.com to make an appointment. Walk-ups totally acceptable (we LOVE walk-ups!) on a first-come, first-serve basis. Ensemble members cast in 'Drawn & Quartered' series will be a paid a stipend per weekend of performance. ITP is a non-equity professional company.
'Drawn & Quartered' is one of ITP's long-running series where ensemble members perform original short plays (roughly 2 minutes or less in length) in an order chosen by the audience. The plays feature actors portraying themselves in plays where conventions like the fourth wall and suspension of disbelief are abandoned. The plays are personal and original and run the gamut from political to absurd and comedic to poignant.
