SYNOPSIS: A dramatic film about an aspiring actress in a small town, Sofia Mancini, prevented from realizing her dream by a failing relationship, boutique boss owner, and paranoid family. When the father discovers her “side job” as an actress, he vows to bring her home to work as a tech assistant at his car repair shop. Will she find enough strength to fully embrace her calling before he ends it?.

CHARACTER BREAKDOWN:

SOFIA MANCINI: Female, early 20’s. Passionate and decisive about her calling as an actress but insecure from the lack of external support around her. Beautiful yet humble. Fiery yet cool.

JIM: Male, early 60’s. Sofia’s father. Anxious at anything considered uncertain. Order and comfort keeps him young.

SANDRA: Female, early 60’s. Sofia’s mother. Psychological damage from her past has made her spacey, almost autistic-like. Sits at home all day watching video tapes of her past life as a famous singer.

BERNICE: Female, early 50’s. Frau-in-training and a scarcity-minded thinker. Loves control and money.
JJ: Male, late 20’s. Bohemian-chic photographer. Can make a girl feel like she’s the only one in the world.

PARKER: Male, late 20’s. Punk look with a boy-like sense of adventure and curiosity.

DJ HOLLY HAMMER: Female, early 40s. Semi-famous in town as a radio personality but secretly desperate for human contact.

STORY: The story is set in the aftermath a terrifying virus that killed thousands of people. Once the virus had been stopped, those that were infected were rounded up and disposed of. Our story follows a young woman, Anna, that hid her infected husband from the disposal teams. As the story unfolds, we learn the lengths that Anna would go to be with the man she loves.

Lindenwood :30 commercial shoot taking place between May 18-19 in Metroeast Illinois. No lines, but many reaction shots, so must have the versatility to be happy go lucky, shocked, sullen to overjoyed to happy go lucky again. Actor should be between 30-50, fashionable, clean shaven between 5’10” to 6’1”. Screaming in a high pitch is a plus!
