VISION OF PRAISE is a new praise group that is starting up and we are looking for a nice looking young male who can sing and is between 20-30 years old.

We meet once a week and usually sing at our leaders church atleast once a month. We sing Gospel songs and Christian Contemporary. Such artist include: William Murphy, Hezekiah Walker, Hill Song United, William McDowell, Yolanda Adams, Youthful Praise, Joshua Troops to name a few.

Requirements:

You need to be able to carry your own part as sometimes when we have engagements you may be the only tenor. *You need to have a spirit of praise and worship and MUST be a christian and a believer in God.

Must be able to lead Gospel songs well and bring the spirit in.

Non-profit seeks vocalists at River City Pops

River City Pops, a nonprofit, 12-member adult singing ensemble, has openings for a soprano and tenor. This is an excellent opportunity for singers interested in honing their singing and performing skills in a small-group setting. Past choir experience helpful.

The group specializes in hour-long programs developed around a specific theme or composer. Programs have included revues of Cole Porter and Gershwin music, signature songs of popular singing artists and bands, a compilation of songs that either won or were nominated for Academy Awards, and selections from Broadway musicals. Currently, the group is performing “Tin Pan Alley,” songs by composers linked to that song-writing era: Irving Berlin, Jerome Kern, Vincent Youmans, George Gershwin, Hoagy Carmichael and Cole Porter. Programs consist of four-part harmony arrangements featuring the entire group, as well as songs performed in quartets, trios, duets and solos.

Rehearsals are held weekly on Tuesday evenings in the Skinker/Clayton Road area. On average, the group performs twice a month for venues that include retirement centers, benefits and private parties. Semiannual public performances also are scheduled; past venues have included the Tavern of Fine Arts, Gaslight Theater and Tower Grove Abbey.
