Searching for women 18-25 interested in being on the ground floor of a new promotions team as ambassadors of Table 36 Cigars.

Table36 will be releasing its premiere line in May with a series of events and tastings. We hope to have a team of committed, professional, fun ambassadors willing to inter-act with customers at stores and events as well as make appearances at various venues and events around the region as representatives of Table 36.

We don’t need your measurements. We don’t want pictures of you in bathing suits or undressed. We do, though, want two photos — one close up/head shot and one full length.

Our ambassadors will represent the brand at not only events and tastings but at other charity functions and activities around town. We will not kid you, initial pay will be quite low. In fact, this will be akin to an internship. This will, though, be an opportunity to become a part of the brand as it grows and create a team that we hope to be iconic in the region for years to come. And once our team is firmly in place, we intend to utilize them in marketing and promotions on a national level. That is when this ceases becoming an internship.

Must be willing to donate just a few hours a month at local charities and events. People of faith are strongly encouraged to apply.

No skimpy outfits. No seedy locations. No “private” interviews or such things. Initially limiting the team to four members, but we are willing to expand the roster if enough qualified and committed individuals show interest. Travel expenses and food will be provided for certain events and any trips outside of the St. Louis Metro Area.

The New Year has brought a flood of new students to The Improv Trick, so we’re adding new nights of classes starting this week.

Our new Thursday-night session of Intro-to-Improv starts Jan. 26th at 7:30pm. This is our core class, which will set you up with all the basics you need to start performing improv. The first week is free to check out! Cost is $175 for the four-week course, or $150 for early registration.

Our Stand-Up Class is already full, so we’ve added a new night starting Tuesdays on Jan. 24th at 7:30pm. Learn to develop and improve material, write jokes, tell funny stories, and find your unique comic voice. $150 for four weeks, or $125 for early registration.

Improv Games also begins Tuesday the 24th, and covers scene games, line games, naive games, and more, going into depth on how to make old favorites really something spectacular. $125 for four weeks, or $100 for early registration.

Students will build upon skills and techniques such as focus and relaxation, voice and diction. They will participate in ensemble and character building exercises as well as work on monologues and scenes.

David Wassilak has acted with many theater companies in St. Louis, and a few in Chicago. He has also acted in independent films and commercials. David has Best Actor awards from the 48 Hour Film Project, and the Riverfront Times, earned numerous Judy Awards from the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, and was nominated for two Kevin Kline Awards. He has directed at St. Louis Actors’ Studio, St. Louis Community College at Meramec, The Midnight Company and Orthwein Theatre Company. David recently served as Associate Artistic Director for St. Louis Actors’ Studio, was an Associate Artistic Director for Orthwein Theatre Company, and was a co-founder and producer for The Midnight Company.

An acting intensive designed for serious performers who want to hone their craft. In a collaborative setting, actors will polish their skills through scene work, script analysis, and peer critique. Work schedules can be flexible during the weeks of staging. Everyone must be present for rehearsals and for every performance during the run.

Internships are pre-professional training/internship positions which include assisting/observing the stage manager, director and actors in rehearsal, with backstage responsibilities during each performance.

The ideal candidates should have an interest in learning about the rehearsal and performance aspects of stage management, and an interest in the backstage world of performance. Some experience in theater is helpful, but not required. Candidates should be out-going, friendly, and able to work with groups of people including other interns.

These are non-paid positions. College credit may be available depending on the requirements of your college or university. Benefits include first-hand working exposure to theater professionals, access to parties and special events during the run of the show, and of course, free tickets to on-going shows.
