Voices Needed for Arch Documentary

I'm scheduling a voice talent audition for April 12, next Wednesday.  We can see about 20 people and I have about 15 openings left.  Here's what I'm looking for:

We need talent to voice quotes in our upcoming Arch documentary "The Gateway Arch: A Reflection of America".  This is being produced by our nonprofit production company, Civil Pictures, Inc. We will be recording auditions on Wednesday April 12 from 9:00 am to 4:40 pm (at twenty minute intervals).   If someone is interested, they should e-mail me and confirm they are available on April 12 and indicate if morning or afternoon works best for scheduling.  As long as I have openings, I'll get back to them with a scheduled time for an audition.  Those actually used in the documentary will be paid $100.  The voices will likely work best who sound in the age range of late 20s to early 50's.  We need to keep in mind the actual ages of those who travelled in the wagon trains and those we have quotes from.  I'm looking for males and females.

We will give each person a short historical quote or two to review -- each will have time to look at it before going into the recording booth.  There is no need to memorize anything, nor are we looking for "professional announcer-type" voices. We are looking for people who can make these quotes sound natural - as if we went back in time and recorded the voice of someone on a wagon train. You don't have to create a character voice either, just give us a thoughtful read in your normal voice.

Readers will be given direction to help along the way.  It is important that they can relax and have fun.

The auditions will be held at:
Civil Pictures, Inc. at:
Technisonic
500 S. Ewing Suite G
St. Louis, MO 63103
314-533-1777

The studio is located just west of downtown St. Louis near Highway 40 and Jefferson in a business complex along the south side of the highway (next to a new Courtyard Marriott).

If you're interested you can contact Diane here: dasser@civilpictures.org -- This is an opportunity to be involved with an award winning documentary company and be paid for that work.  Mention my name so she knows who referred you.  If you have any questions pleaes contact Diane as I am only passing this information along.

Good luck,
Aaron Coffman

Casting for extras

Munirah Entertainment’s Feature Length Motion Picture, “Tapestry Of
Shadows”, directed by David Conley, is now casting for pickups to be
shot over the next 3 weeks.

This is a Non-Paying position

We will be shooting various shots of the city and require actors for
atmosphere in and around these locations. We are seeking mainly
African American performers of various ages. Others are welcome to
apply. We need at least 5 African American men ages 45-65
Because these are pick up shots, the hours should be somewhat short
with times being early morning or later evening for a couple of
hours. Shooting will begin in a few days.

This movie has already been in post for a while and plans to release
this summer.. We just need a few shots to get things tied up.

WE ARE NOT LOOKING FOR “PRETTY ACTORS” We need a real-world look..

THE FASTEST WAY TO GET A ROLE is to dress up like someone who spends
a lot of time on the streets in the inner city. Homeless person, a
person in a very old formal outfit that’s dirty, a gang member, etc
(Use your imagination). Have a few digital photos taken and then
send them to me. Actors that do this will be selected before anyone
who just sends a headshot.

The movie is looking good and this is a chance to get involved with
this picture before it gets out there..

Looking forward to hearing from you
