Managing Director - The NonProphet Theater Company

WHEN: Auditions will be Saturday, September 2 from 10:00am - 5:00pm (10:00am - 1:00pm for initial auditions, 3:00-5:00 for callbacks). Callbacks may also be on Sunday from 1:00pm - 4:00pm. Those auditioning are asked to prepare a 2 minute monologue from a contemporary play in their own age range - preferably something gritty and dark and varied from a play set in a city written after 1980.

WHERE: Auditions will take place at the Washington University West Campus Library, located in Clayton on Forsyth at Jackson, between The Wine & Cheese Place and the new Metrolink station.

WHAT: In Jacquelyn Reingold's psychological thriller GIRL GONE, Tish is a young woman who dances in a topless bar. When her best friend is brutally murdered, she becomes obsessed with who killed her friend and why. The action moves rapidly from the past to the present, in and out of Tish's mind from a topless bar, to a hustler's apartment, to the middle of the street, as she tries to put together a fractured world where the pieces no longer fit. Tish finds her suspect playing the saxophone in a jazz club and risks her own life by coercing him into a reenactment of the crime. In a shocking turnaround, Tish finds what she's looking for.

Roles are available for 3 women and 3 men. This play is set in the world of exotic dancing, so be advised that the script may call for adult situations.

Please note that the roles of Jean, Bobby, and Tish have already been cast.

Production dates are October 19 – October 29.

The show will be directed by Chris Limber.

Horror. By Lori Allen Ohm. Based on George Romero and John Russo's original film.
Cast: 12m., 5w. (15- to 20 zombies.) Fall out from a satellite probe shot to Venus returns to Earth carrying a mysterious radiation that transforms the unburied dead into flesh-eating zombies. Seven people trapped in an isolated farmhouse, held hostage by the ravenous ghouls, begin to turn on each other as the dead encroach. A gripping terror-filled monochromatic play that brings all the fright of the cult classic to life. This blend of thrilling horror laced with touches of black humor envelops the audience in the action and unfolds into a shocking theatrical ending. “There are a lot of characterization possibilities in this piece. We got to work on the dynamics of fear, terror and the human responses they elicit. The zombies loved playing out evil.” (Krista Klander-man, Menasha High School, Menasha, WI.)
