"Alice" feature film St. Louis Actor Search

ACTOR CASTING NOTICE FOR ST. LOUIS

 

The FEATURE FILM “Alice”, based on the children’s book series titled

“The Agony of Alice” will shoot in St. Louis this fall.

 

SEARCHING FOR THE FOLLOWING SPEAKING ROLES:

 

ALL WORK IS IN ST. LOUIS, between early October to mid November.  Paid positions under Screen Actors Guild low budget contract.  Actors do not have to be members of SAG to audition.

 

TEEN ACTORS

 

[LORETTA] A “perky” teenager who works at the music store owned by Alice’s father.  She has a “crush” on Lester, Alice’s teenager brother.  Looking for an actress who is 16 – 20 years old, who can play age range 16-18.  Three scenes.

 

[MELISSA] A teenager who has a “crush” on Lester, Alice’s teenage brother.  She stops by the music store to see when Lester’s band is playing next, and causes a scene when the jealous Loretta interferes.  Looking for a teenage actress age 16 – 20 years old, who can play age range 16-18 years.  One scene.

 

CHILD / EARLY TEEN ACTORS

 

 [PATRICK]  A boy in Alice’s class.  He is a very nice boy who secretly has a crush on Alice.  Patrick defends her against Pamela’s accusations that Alice deliberately sabotaged the school play.  Submit boys who can play 11 – 13 years old.  Not tall for age.  Looking for a boy with acting experience.

 

[PAMELA] A very pretty, competitive, and musically (singing) gifted student in Alice’s grade.  She seems to always find fault with Alice’s actions.  When Alice causes a disaster on stage during the school musical, Pamela accuses her of being jealous and ruining the school musical performance on purpose.  Must have a good singing voice.  Submit girls who can play 11 – 13 years old.  Must not be developed.  Any Ethnicity.

 

[ELIZABETH]  Alice moves in across the street from Elizabeth.  The two girls are the same age, and starting middle school, but are wary of each other when they first meet.  Elizabeth dresses in a sophisticated manner while Alice tends to look a bit scruffy.  However, they soon become very good friends.

Age range 11 – 13 years old.  Must not be developed.  Any ethnicity.

Equity and Non-Equity Auditions for DramaRama- REVISED

Who: DramaRama Theatre Company

When: Monday, September 18th, 2006 from 6:00 pm-9:00 pm.

Where: Immaculate Heart of Mary School
4070 Blow Street, South St. Louis

What to prepare: Please prepare a one minute contemporary comedic monologue, as well as 32 bars of an up-tempo song to be sung acapella. Please be prepared to read from the script and possibly improv.

What We Are Looking For: Equity and non-Equity actors of all shapes, sizes, and ethnicities to join our 2006-2007 touring company. We will be hiring 4 actors (2 men and 2 women) to perform in schools and various theatres throughout the St. Louis area. Rehearsals begin in mid-October and performances will be scheduled from late October 2006 through April 2007. The season will include a weekend residency in Rolla, MO. DramaRama Theatre Company operates under a TYA Tier-II contract through Actors Equity Association. Salary is based on an hourly rate for rehearsals and a per performance contract. This contract does NOT include health coverage.

This year DramaRama will be producing two musicals, Alice In Wonderland and The Three Billy Goats Gruff : Tales from the Troll. Both written by Landon Shaw.

Executive Director Nicole Trueman and Managing Artistic Director will attend the auditions and have casting authority.

Production Assistants needed

Infinite Harp Films is looking for lockdown Production Assistants for our outdoor shoot on Sept. 14 and 15. We want assertive people who will make sure areas are clear for camera. Project is a smooth jazz/R&B music video.

Pay is $100/day, plus meals.

Infinite Harp Films is producing a music video for national
distribution for a brand new smooth jazz/R&B artist from Atlanta, Liz
Hope, to be shot on film.

We are looking to cast 10 audience members - 5 men and 5 women. 5-6
will be featured players (to be cast for closeups). The scene is a
performance by the artist in an upscale nightclub, so the age range
should be above 25. You should look like professionals and be well-
dressed. You will need to provide your own costume, e.g. dark suits,
classy but sexy dresses, jewelry, hair (at least 2 options for men, 3
options for women should be brought to the callbacks). Makeup artists
will be provided.
pay: $75 a day for 2 days, Sept 12-13, and food. Non union only.

There is no audition needed for these parts. This is for a full
feature film that will be submitted into film festivals across the

not a paying job but will be alot of fun and great experience! Attire

Paid Musician

Soundstage Productions, in conjunction with Missouri African American Repertory Theatre (MOAART)  is seeking a singer/musician for the play, "Dirty White Tuxedo Pants" by Michael McFall.   It is a story of a homeless African American Veteran starring Don McClendon.  Performance dates are November 2006 at the HH Studio in Maplewood, MO. as part of the Soundstage/MOAART African American Festival. The festival will feature local playwright Gregory Carr's work as well.

 

The singer will perform segments of such songs as: In the Arms of the Angel, Bother Can You Spare a Dime, and Another day in Paradise. 

 

Singer can be any race, age or gender, but a singer who can play guitar or keyboard is preferred.

Non-equity Auditions for Nuncrackers at TGWG

The Theatre Guild of Webster Groves (TGWG) will hold
non-equity, cold-reading auditions for Dan Goggin's
NUNCRACKERS, THE NUNSENSE CHRISTMAS MUSICAL on
Tuesday, September 12th at 7:00
PM. Roles are available for both ADULTS and CHILDREN.

ROLE REQUIREMENTS:
ADULTS:
Males: 1 (Father) Age 30-55
Females: (Nuns) 5 Ages 20-65
CHILDREN (choir):
Approximately 4 to 6 of either gender, ages 8-14

AUDITION REQUIREMENTS: The audition format is cold
reading. Bring music; we will provide an accompanist.
Wear comfortable clothing.

REHEARSAL AND PRODUCTION DATES:
Rehearsals dates TBA; most likely will be on Sundays,
Tuesdays, and Thursdays.
Performance dates are November 3-5 and 9-12.
Weeknight shows are at 8PM, and Sunday shows are at

Young Boys needed for Feature Film


Carrie Houk Casting is looking for 6-8 year old and 10-12 year old boys to play young Vince Vaughn and Paul Giamatti  in a Feature Film to be distributed by Warner Bros.  Overweight boys (6-8) will  be seen for the role of the young Paul Giamatti.  Thin boys of that age are to be considered for young Vince Vaughn.
