Models needed

This will be the TEEN PRO CLUB's first ever FASHION AND COMMERCIAL MODEL NETWORKING EVENT.  There is no charge for for participating in this event.  The Teen Pro Club is sponsored by Model Resource Group (MRG) ...for truth in modeling (R)  ...since 1994.

Experience may help you get chosen but EXPERIENCE IS NOT REQUIRED.

WANTED: Fashion and Commercial Male and Female Models (no models who have an exclusive contract with an agency, please)

AGE: from a child who is able to walk a runway without assistance up to 19 years of age (legally). 

TRYOUT: Nov. 18,  2006

WARDROBE:  Wear an upbeat or dressy casual outfit that shows your shape but is still G (General Audience) Rated.

LOCATION: Schlafly Library in the CWE, 225 North Euclid Ave. St. Louis MO 63108

TRYOUT TIME ON NOVEMBER 18:
4:00PM

Up to 20 models will be chosen.   An orientation and rehearsal will follow immediately after the tryout.  Chosen models, plan to be at the Schlafly Library until 5:30PM.

COMPENSATION FOR THE DECEMBER 2 EVENT:  The models who are chosen for this event will have an opportunity to network and self promo with the audience.  Some of the people in the audience will be giving out PRIZES.  PRIZES will relate to the modeling field (ie. fashion photo shoot, pictures from the fashion show itself, a chance to have your image in the MRG model magazine at ModMag.org, etc.).

Magic Smoking Monkey Theatre AUDITIONS

Magic Smoking Monkey Theatre announces auditions for
 
PLAN 9 FROM OUTER SPACE
 
Widely acclaimed as the worst movie ever made, Edward D. Wood Jr's sci-fi epic reveals the terrifying truth of grave robbers from outer space!!!   Aliens resurrect an army of the dead (okay, it's only 3 zombies) to prevent humankind from destroying the universe with the solamanite...solanite...solaranite...ah, whatever; it's a bomb.  AND SO IS THIS MOVIE!
 
Production dates are April 20 - 28, 2007 at the Regional Arts Commission, 6128 Delmar.  Performances are Friday and Saturday at 8pm and 10:30pm.
 
Auditions are Sunday, January 20 from 10am - 1pm at Third Baptist Church, 620 N. Grand Blvd (across from the Fox Theatre).  No appointment necessary; auditions will consist of cold readings from the script.  If you have not worked with MSMT before, please bring a photo and resume.

Auditions for a cabaret show

K's Theatrical Korps will be holding open auditions for its annual cabaret show on November 20 and 21 from 7-9pm.  This year's cabaret theme is "Back to Broadway".  It will feature songs from various musicals including Les Miserables, Jersey Boys, Spamalot, and more.  We need ages 18 and up both male and female.  Headshots and resumes are appreciated.  Actors must bring a prepared piece of music.  Accompaniment will be provided.  Auditions will consist of singing and dancing.  For more information please call 314-821-0090 or visit www.kurtainkall.org or www.myspace.com/backtobroadwayks .

Auditions to be held for original musical at UMSL

Louis.

"Booth!" focuses on the life of Edwin Booth, a 19th-century American
actor
considered by many historians to be the best of his era. Booth's younger
brother, John Wilkes Booth, also an actor, assassinated President
Abraham
Lincoln.

The auditions will take place from 6 to 9 p.m. Dec. 12 and 13 in the
Whitaker Room at the Blanche M. Touhill Performing Arts Center at
UMSL. Call
backs will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. Dec. 15. Those auditioning
should come
with a prepared three-minute monologue and song.

The musical was written by Niyi Coker, the E. Desmond Lee Endowed
Professor
of African/African-American Studies, with lyrics and music by Barbara
Harbach, professor of music at UMSL, and Jonathan Yordy, coordinator of
public relations at UMSL.
