Sing, Dance and Make Music with Children

Do you enjoy children, and like singing and performing? We are
currently looking for two part-time, early-childhood teachers for
Gymboree Play & Music. We have found that theatre folks tend to make
fabulous Gymboree teachers!

Teachers Skills/Qualifications include: a pleasant and tuneful
singing voice; love of singing, music making and teaching; group
facilitation skills; playful & energetic teaching style. Experience
working with young children and/or retail experience are a plus.
Teaching degree or experience is not necessary. We provide all
training. A love for children and lots of enthusiasm is most important!

Background of our ideal candidate includes:Strong customer service
skills, ability to sing (you DON'T need a perfect voice), comfort
interacting with adults and children (i.e., able to be silly in front
of people!), ability to learn and teach detailed premade lesson plans

If you are a high energy, confident team player and crave an outlet
for your music, theater, or child development ambitions, and you are
good at working with children, Gymboree Play & Music is the place for
you! We are currently looking for part-time teachers at our Webster
Groves location.

Gymboree TEACHERS facilitate high-energy parent–child play, music and
art classes and birthday parties in our state-of-the-art facility
using lesson plans provided by Gymboree. You must be a happy person
who can sing unaccompanied, lead parenting discussions, multi-task,
and engage children by crawling, climbing, sliding and singing with
them (and
encouraging their parents to do so as well!) You must be very
comfortable being silly in front of a group of parents and their
children and encouraging them to be silly with you.

Life experience, dependability and personality count more than
previous work experience for these positions. However, previous
experience with children and in retail sales or customer service is a
plus.

Paid training, employee discounts to the Gymboree clothing store, and
FREE Gymboree classes for your children (age 0-5) when you are not
working are provided. GYMBOREE Play & Music is the world's leading
parent/child development program. Go to www.gymboreeclasses.com for
more information on our program.

At Gymboree your world will be filled with laughter, music, and the
personal reward of knowing that you are helping a parent and child
build a happy and healthy world together.

Please send us your resume or contact us if you have any interest, or
want more information on the position(s). Our auditions are fun and
easy, and your performances will not have sulking critics in the
audience! :-)
