I am Dick Petrowich, executive director of Open House Theatre. We are
a community theatre group in our 20th year and we are based in New
Athens. Il.
Our January production is Abie's Irish Rose and we are still needing
an actor to play a Catholic priest. Preferably one who can have an
Irish brogue. There are no small roles in this play. The priest does
not come in until the second act, but he has about 96 cue lines.

Non-Equity Auditions for RICHARD III

AUDITIONS for the Shakespeare Festival of St. Louis' production of
"Richard III," Shakespeare's classic tale of politics and power, will
be held Monday, December 10 from 10 am – 6 pm for Equity actors and
Tuesday, December 11 from 1:30 – 9 pm for non-Equity actors.
Auditions will be held at the Repertory Theatre Rehearsal Hall in
Webster Groves (17 S. Old Orchard, 63119). Our new artistic director,
Dawn McAndrews, would like to meet as many local actors as possible,
so please schedule a time even if you've auditioned for us before.

Friday from 10 am to 4 pm beginning November 5, 2007.

Directed by Matthew Arbour, the play has roles for 14 men and 4
women (the roles of Richard and Buckingham are cast). Please prepare
two
contrasting, two-minute Shakespeare monologues and bring two copies
of your headshot and resume. For actors who have not had to audition
with
a monologue for some time, sides will be available in advance.
"Richard III" runs in Forest Park from May 23 through June 15, with
previews May 21 and 22. Rehearsals begin April 22. For more

Singers needed

Singers/performers (male and female) are needed to help record a cast CD for the new cowboy musical, "Make Me A Cowboy" . We have a small budget but there is the potential for a small stipend for the performers. The musical has 22 songs, 6 originals and 16 standard public domain cowboy songs. We will be recording 12 songs from the show.

Film Auditions

Actors needed for short film

Actors needed for short film being shot in St. Louis.  Shoot days are December 1st and 2nd.  Two male and two female roles ages 30-40.
Unable to compensate monetarily but actors will receive exposure and experience working on film and with a film production crew.  Actors
will also receive a copy of the film to put on demo reel and possible exposure in St. Louis and national film festivals.  If interested,

Open Auditions for Midwest Lyric Opera - REVISED

Midwest Lyric Opera is holding auditions for upcoming productions of: Amahl and the Night Visitors, to be performed January 5 & 6, 2008; and a spring production to be determined, between Mozart's Abduction from the Seraglio, and Donizetti's Don Pasquale, to be performed in mid-April (venues and dates are being finalized at present).

Auditions for Touring Company

The Northern Prairie Performing Arts Touring Company, based in Fargo, North Dakota, announces auditions for its 2008 Touring Season. This season will consist of two productions, The Shakespeare Project and Cucumber Phil. Five actors will be cast in the touring company, and a Road Manager/Stage Manager will be selected from within the Company. The Auditions will be held on November 10, 2007 from 12 noon to 4 pm in Fargo, North Dakota at the Fargo- Moorhead Community Theatre; all actors wishing to audition must reserve a 15 minute audition slot before the day of auditions
Audition requirements include two contrasting monologues; one of the monologues must be from a classic play. The audition will also include a brief interview and cold readings. Please be prepared to provide a current headshot & resumé for the auditions. Video audition submissions will be accepted for out-of-town actors, but they must be submitted to NPPA no later than Friday, November 9, 2007. If you are cast in the company, you will report to work at the Fargo-Moorhead Community Theatre in Fargo, ND, on January 3, 2008 and will be contracted through the 31st of May. Black Cat Theatre is seeking Dancers, Singers, and a Rock & Roll band

Creating a new Holiday Cabaret. Looking for musicians, a rock band, and dancers to develop a new rock musical to play Friday nights in December 07 - PLUS New Years Eve.
 
Our goal is to produce in workshop environment a new show to run at Black Cat Theatre ongoing.  Looking for artistic partcipation. No pay. However Artist Option if show picks up. Writers include Black Cat Theatre Artistic Director Edie Avioli and Obie Award Winner Kim Hughes. Commitment to evening rehearsals last week of November or first week of December.  Shows schedled for FRIDAYS: Dec 14, 21, 28 and Mon, Dec 31, 07 - New Years Eve.
